Does the market smell something bad coming or is this an attempt to shake the weak hands off the stock before something big happens. This thing is taking unusually longer than normal isn't it? The average time should be 6 month I would think.
There is no "usual", these instances are always unusual. Whether there are 3 or 5 other incidents, which is just statistical noise, provides confidence when none is warranted.
Issue, I believe, is competitive landscape and probability of reintroduction- the latter of which appears to be lessening in the eyes of both longs and shorts.
But please don't say this is a bear raid or that "they" are pushing the stock down or the bashers are flushing out weak hands. That's all BS. Longs are selling and shorts are selling and the issue is that investors believe the probability of bankruptcy is high and increasing.
There has been a news vacuum for a very long time now. No updates on the investigation and 5 negative articles in a short period of time. The stock was at 1.85 when the first one was published the last one pushed us down to .85 cents. No rebuttal or information from Takeda or Affymax to counter the articles so the stock continues to slide. The author is short the stock and there are numerous factual inaccuracies that I and others have pointed out but apathy has taken hold and people are selling tired of the wait and lack of information.
How about specifying the inaccuracies? Hard to see where you are coming from when the SA articles report the Omontys FDA FAERs report verbatim and also report individual patient histories. The author's info was obtained pursuant to a FOIA request to the FDA. Just like AFFY longs to ignore facts and try to characterize truth as inaccurate. Just hope newbies aren't fooled into entering losing their money so the current AFFY longs can sell to the greater fool.
