The trust acquired a pool policy from PMI to cover all mortgage loans with a loan-to-value (LTV) over 80%. At origination, approximately 43.94% of the mortgage loans were covered by this policy. The weighted average original LTV was 84.4% and the weighted average FICO was 678 at origination. CWABS purchased the mortgage loans from Countrywide Home Loans, Inc. (CHL) and deposited the loans in the trust, which issued the certificates, representing undivided beneficial ownership in the trust.
