the old fart ruined this company and won't go away, fired the idiot
The smartest move is to buy the 8% convertible debenture and collect the interest while waiting for the stock to go up in 2010 or 2011.
Safe, possible big upside and good interest while waiting.
where can one get info on buying these convertible debentures?
are they traded?
any info would be appreciated.
thanks
I would sooner ask - Why does the US keep Obama? His hostility to businesses and free markets as well as his pork-barrel spending no doubt are not helping anybody.
I have a better question. Why does the US keep you?
You do not know Al. I have met him and he is exactly the type person you want to run an Insurance company. He has an accounting background and is really good with the numbers. But, more importantly he will not do anything stupid in these trying times. He understands his company but more importantly his industry and this crazy market we are in. I feel ORI is a very safe place for my money because of Al. He is very conservative and will not go off half cocked. He has hired a lot of very young, strong aggressive executive who I am sure disagree with him but also give good guidance. He knows how to manage both sides of the picture. There is a reason ORI has not been destroyed like PMI and MTG and it is Al. Thank you Al. I still think ORI is a Strong Buy for the long run.
I believe in late 2007 Al said he didn't expect to see a turnaround until sometime in 2009 or 2010.....I thought he was insane at the time. It appears he was spot on. His ability to foresee the future is nothing short of spectacular.
You got somethin against old farts?
I find that old farts kind of lose their pungency over time, which isn't all bad.
