    Dividend increase inconsistent with merger/sale?

Many companies raise their dividends to reward and retain long term holders. Sometimes companies that are on the block conserve cash to cover merger/buyout expenses. Much higher than normal trading volume and possible explanation for some of today's dip??

    • Today's dip may have been due to a lot of people concluding the Huntsmans don't know what they are doing, whether in terms of dividends, corporate finance or organization restructuring.

      • OLN Corp's pps did same thing on its earnings day - record breaking earnings, cash out the wazoo -- OLN does Winchester and chems - they report, and kablam - pps sinks like 1.50. and those winchester items just keep on selling, backordered in fact. full production...

then pps seeps back up next few days.

looks like rampant profit scraping and stop loss reaping with a replow of shares under new ownership to this happy reader. lol, man, if i had an HFT I'd do it too. in the meantime, just fine ridin' the ragin' bull commando...
