    No vision

    The domestic auto companies had the 80's and 90's..even the beginning of the current decade to invest in quality cars.

    They chose to focus on trucks and SUVS. Look how long cars like the Ford Taurus have been sold. These cars are a joke not only do they pale in quality and reliability to the imports they don't even get good mileage.

    The simple fact is the domestic auto companies haven't thought long term for years and now they are paying for it.

    Just another step in our transformation to an economy of low paying service jobs with no benefits.

    Our huge trade deficit and national debt are careening towards a very big downward spiral in the value of dollar.

    It won't be pretty.
