Sure. First we can give up the kickin sound system. Then maybe the dual power mirrors. Then all those nice little airbags. Heck we won't need those ABS brakes. Hey we won't even need power brakes. Those 4 wheel drums just stop on a dime. Might as well throw out traction control too while we are at it.
It's a crock of poo...that the car makers can't bring them down. It is like the interviews they give. They just don't want to do it. I hope they choke on their unbought big assed ...narrow wheel based cars and trucks that are dangerous from day one...without the damn stabilizing system. It's a joke what people have been sold. The mentality that, "we will build what we want and they will (have) buy it" , is such BS. Innovation? The innovations you speak of are marginal at best and could be better if you are gonna charge what a "house" costs in 65 for a car. People put their payments out so far they are upside down in them when they drive off the lot.
You trying to tell me they don't overcharge for the vehicles they make? I think the consumer has been gouged enough. Hell, text messages don't cost companies anything ,yet, they can charge outrageous prices for the service. They have been shafting people long term and the prices for all cars are over priced.
Good idea. They are made like cheezey pieces of plastic crap. I'm talking all makes here. My Toyota hit a deep puddle and the plastic shroud under the front end was pulled down and scraped on the ground for a quater mile before I had any idea what the hell was making the sound. I got out, looked and pushed it back where it came from. What junk. Certainly not worth the $24,000 I paid for it.
