Shelby American announced there will be a limited production of Super Snakes available to customers beginning May 1.
That car is a stunner. Ford and Shelby make a team.
Thank you for that photo. WOW. Did you go to the NY auto show? Must have been in May.
"Ford tuning specialist Shelby will unveil the new 2012 model year Shelby GT500 Super Snake at the upcoming 2011 New York International Auto Show later this month. The car features vast mechanical revisions over the standard Ford Mustang which it is based on, and will boast extreme engine performance figures of 597kW."
That high hp Mustang sounds like a racetrack model? Maybe it's also for more ordinary people wanting a lovely car, simply to enjoy most of the time, but one that will, in an emergency, still let you take your loved ones to the hospital pretty fast. The existing Shelbys are pretty nice, too. I can't afford them, will settle eventually for a Mustang convertible (GT?) with the auto transmission that gets you 30 mpg highway. But it's fun to look! Sigh!
