i like how people just throw up numbers like 7 with no backing, they just pick a number in there head, why not 17 all negative factored in, barrons says value in ford, for sure there is more up side then down side
Wise man once say ... The bad leader is hated by the people; the good leader is loved by the people; the great leader leaves them saying, 'We did it ourselves." Will CEO Alan Mullally be able to meet these expectations? ... Will he be able to meet the expectations of the shareholders to the point that ALL will be saying how great a leader he was when he retires? ... Will he be deserving of another multi-million dollar bonus again at the end of the year? OR will the BOARD vote for the "right action" to be taken (ie; no bonuses to be awarded until the management team can prove their worth to shareholders) NOTE: Many are also very curious about the timing of this announcement - this info should have been announced much sooner ---or better yet “corrective action” should have been taken to ameliorate the losses overseas instead of just waiting for “time” to resolve the problem!!! Again – how will the leaders at FORD be seen in the future by the shareholders and employees? Will they be loved or hated for their ability to run the FORD company at a higher level of performance which should include a INCREASINGLY (not DECREASINGLY) profitable business plan?
Ford also "warned" that despite significant losses in Europe, that overall they would report a profit and that cash flow and balance sheet remain strong. remember that F had already dropped from $12 to $10 before this warning. The selloff Friday was overdone. If you want to wait for $7...good luck. F will go up after earnings report that the bad news was overplayed.
