Unfortunately partisan voters like dzeeman1020 allow our Federal Government to be a divided mess who can do nothing but spend money like fiends regardless of the party in power because the same corrupt politicans keep getting re-elected. I only saw excerpts from Hillary's testimony but she made some careless remarks in it. Here are a couple that concern me and why:

Hillary: “With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest? Or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make” Clinton scolded Johnson, raising her voice. “It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator.”

My response: What difference does it make how the Americans were killed? With all due respect, you just trampled on the graves of those four dead Americans with that statement. How am I supposed to be confident you will actually prevent it from happening again when you don't even know how or why it occurred or who did it? This is the whole issue Hillary. This was a coordinated and planned attack. The people at the embassy were concerned it would happen if security wasn't beefed up. Action during the event could have saved these American lives. Too many failures resulted in the American deaths. Stop trying to brush the issue under the rug.

Hillary: "Our men and women who serve overseas understand that we accept a level of risk to protect the country we love"

My response: I agree with that statement. However a huge reason there is an investigation here is due to the fact that they were begging for more security and had intelligence that something big may happen soon. This changed the whole situation and the level of risk for them was no longer acceptable. A plan should have been made to return them to the risk level that was considered acceptable. A failure by the State Dept. to act resulted in the Government not upholding their end of the bargain on the risk level they were taking.

Although the media harps on this as a partisan attack by the Republicans, the real problem here is a lack of priority to the threat of terrorism. Unfortunately this is going to become a political issue rather than what it really is, a national security and foreign policy issue. The Republicans will try to smear the Democrats and the Democrats will try to hinder the investigation and fuzzy the information and facts. Let's drop the political antics, put the pointing fingers away, and learn the facts of the entire issue so that American lives can be better protected.
