    Cover up!

The Catholic archdiocese of Los Angeles has removed a top clergyman linked to efforts to conceal abuse as it released thousands on files of priests accused of molesting children.

Archbishop Jose Gomez said he had stripped his predecessor, the retired cardinal Roger Mahony, of all public and administrative duties. "I find these files to be brutal and painful reading. The behavior described in these files is terribly sad and evil," Gomez said in a statement released by the US's largest Catholic archdiocese.

"There is no excuse, no explaining away what happened to these children. The priests involved had the duty to be their spiritual fathers and they failed," he said.

Mahony's former top aide, Thomas Curry, also stepped down as bishop of Santa Barbara.

The deceit of the clergy is sinful, will they go to Heaven sure makes one wonder of course the flock won't.

    • Thank you for posting this info. It shines a new light on the future of Ford stock.

      Sentiment: Hold

    • There were four (4) people who actually rejected this statement and I cannot understand why.
This is a Catholic Archbishop (Gomez) who is pointing out the failure of the clergy not me.
It is quite unbelievable that some religious fanatics will not accept the irrefutable proof of the wickedness of the priesthood.
This is the biggest con game the world has ever seen and the "faithful" continue to pour out their cash to these sake oil salesmen.

    • Benghazi..............

    • Well I am amazed all the God fearing seem to have run for cover, now just where is God in all this hypocrisy or is he/she just not getting the message through.
The richest man in the world is not saying anything either, quite strange, just probably figuring out how to blame his butler.
