During his first run for president, Barack Obama made one very specific promise to voters: He would cut health insurance premiums for families by $2,500, and do so in his first term.
But it turns out that family premiums have increased by more than $3,000 since Obama's vow, according to the latest annual Kaiser Family Foundation employee health benefits survey.
Premiums for employer-provided family coverage rose $3,065 — 24% — from 2008 to 2012, the Kaiser survey found. Even if you start counting in 2009, premiums have climbed $2,370.
bump.
You need to learn not to believe most of the statements a politician makes to get elected or re elected. Very few politicians are honest. I'll bet a dollar to a donut if all of the congressmen/women were investigated in depth at least 90% would be termed #$%$s or perverts.
A politician is a #$%$ when they use their elected office for any kind of personal gail. Like the last time the country raised MW Pelosi got a waiver for one of her businesses that was in one of our territories. We the people have a great knack to elect and keep re electing undesirables.
bump.
Has Obama mentioned that $2500 Premium reduction lately? Don't suppose he would forget about it, would he???
If you have medicade are cost went up nothing.
You dont mean that Mr Obama the President of the United States of America lied to us , do you ?
Yes. He's now a bigger liar than Hillary. Didn't think it was possible, but Obama has a solid lock on #1 now.
