192,000 miles and the truck still screams down the highway....

1979 Ford F150 half ton with the very rare 460/C6 combo. i bought that one with 49,000 original miles. i have two more of them and a beautiful 76 3/4 ton, two tone green beauty that is close to mint. Those three also have the 460/C6 and have less than 80,000 original miles. The red/white one has had a canopy since day one and if you look under the red carpet, there isn't a scratch on the bed floor. None of them cost more than 3200 bucks. The bed on the 1/2 ton trucks is only 44" off the ground and the rack is 71" off the ground. You can actually work out of these trucks, without a ladder. i've made 175 mile runs down south to Vancouver Wa. to pick up garage door openers and saving up to 480 bucks (minus gas). You can put 32 openers in the bed and the 32 rails up on the rack and still run down the freeway at 65-70 mph. Try to do that with a new ford truck. OLD FORD TRUCKS LIKE TO WORK. IT'S IN THEIR DNA....
