Sorry to see that you are selling. I own over 5,000 shares and will wait it out for the rest of my life (I'm 66) and hopefully my kids do also.A word of advise...if you sell every time some clown says sell, soon you'll have nothing to sell since you paid all your holdings out as commissions. Be patient with great stocks and ignore the white noise. I've been in this business for 45 years and have lots of $ from buying and holding great stocks. Oh, might I suggest you read some of the great buy and hold posts on this board. Good luck in your future investments.
I too have several thousand shares, and if I had taken the advise of my financial adviser, I would have noting. Buy this, sell that, no, no sell this and buy that. Let's face it the only way FA's make money is when you sell. No wonder it goes back a fourth so often. I am 65 and don't plan of touching any of it, as the dividends have paid nicely over the years, and I hope my two girls will see the light before they inherit the stock. Long term makes sense, buying and selling every two months will drain the money you have rather quickly.
