Why did COP drop from 70.00 to near 50.00 a share

you really need to study a little before you ask a question that makes you look lazy or stupid but the answer is that it spun off PSX at .5 share per share of COP At time of spin off psx was 34 and cop was 53 for a total of $70 Before you ask another dumb question (53) plus (34 divided by 2) equals 70. psx has gone to 45 and cop now 56.
