Can't Vote, If You don't Own Property or Pay Taxes!
The below concept has been debated, discussed and argued since our founding over 236 years ago.
Reflecting on my 69 years as an American citizen, I have come to the belief and realization that all US citizens that are eligible to vote should either own property and or pay some Federal Income tax in order to vote in any State and or National election.
Over the years, allowing those to vote that do not own property and or pay any Federal tax has gotten us the following:
Career politicians making unsustainable promises to buy votes.
Higher taxes, personal, State and Federal.
Insane and unsustainable Federal and State spending.
Massive Federal and State debt. Presently, Federal debt alone is $16 billion dollars. Put another way, about $50,000.00 of Federal debt for every man, woman and child that are US citizens.
Federal and State corruption and waste at all levels.
Our Founding Father’s had great wisdom, but that wisdom is being lost unless we are willing to learn from them and make the necessary changes needed to protect the future of our Great Republic, our children and grandchildren.
Think about it!
