OBV has been rising (on balance volume) since 10:34 am, at $58.15, ramped since then, that measures all the trades bought on up-tick vs down-ticks, that ratio is currently +239,000 from -1,036,000 at the 10:34 am point. That's a huge swing, sometimes it's not evident from just looking at accum/distribution indicator. It's accum, nevertheless.
CONOCO had better get their ducks in order.
That seems to be what they are doing--their production rate is declining temporarily as they divest less promising assets in order to invest in developing assets and areas with more promise for future production.
Well, it's not a good sign if you sell, but if you hold long term for divvy income and future appreciation....doesn't seem like a problem. Prices are low, demand is fairly weak and it's as good a time to "clean house" as any, which appears to be what have been doing since they announced the PSX spin off. Making more than enough to keep covering the divvy.
Could always look at STO, TOT, SU, maybe MRO for a better value, income and appreciation potential combination if you think they will do better....
