they already showed that this quarter, their early entry into the Eagle Ford area not only got them prime and huge acreage but at an extremely low cost of $300 per acre. This is why they did so well compared to Chevron and Exxon this quarter.
The BR acquisition played a major catalyst. COP picked up massive (and cheap) acreage in Texas (among many other places) that later turned out to be prime shale acreage. One of the many reasons why the BR acquisition turned out to be golden.
