Will COP Increase It's Dividend Soon?

COP has surely done well for it's investors, since it spun off PSX. It has created a lot of wealth for it's shareholders. I hate to be greedy but I'm wondering if COP is going to raise it's divvy, it was at 5% right after the spinoff, now (because of the rise in pps) it's fallen to 3.7%. I hate to be greedy, but I am and that's why I invest.

    • COP just raised the divi 4.5% in July. Next increase is not likely until July 2014. BTW, you can check on a companies divi history on Yahoo Finance by clicking on "historical prices" above, then the radio button for "dividends only".

    • COP has a pattern of increasing the dividend once a year (not etched in stone, but normal for this company). Look at past increases for a good ballpark guess). The company has stated their continuing intent to take care of its shareholders. They have a record of doing just that and I fully expect it to continue. If rising dividends are important to you than you are in the right stock. I know of no better place to be.

      Sentiment: Buy
