    Past Ice Ages

Who caused past ice ages, and subsequent warm-ups? The nature of the earth? or some dinosaurs?

    • I do not deny that maybe we have warmed but WHY?

Global Warming on Mars. In Science News, April 7, 2007, page 214 there was a report on evidence that Mars is also going through global warming. The announcement has brought a lot of interesting discussion about what is real and what is not in global warming. Mars has an atmosphere that is 95 percent carbon dioxide, so one cannot attribute the warming to greenhouse gas increases. If the Sun is causing Mar's global warming, then it should also be causing the Earth to have global warming, and even more so since we are closer to the Sun than Mars. The fact is that global warming has many causes, and we know that what is happening on Mars is different from what is happening on Earth

These predictions are no more accurate than what someone could get calling the physic hotline. This is what NOAA predicted on May 23, 2013 for the 2013 hurricane season.
"For the six-month hurricane season, which begins June 1, NOAA’s Atlantic Hurricane Season Outlook says there is a 70 percent likelihood of 13 to 20 named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher), of which 7 to 11 could become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), including 3 to 6 major hurricanes (Category 3, 4 or 5; winds of 111 mph or higher).
These ranges are well above the seasonal average of 12 named storms, 6 hurricanes and 3 major hurricanes....
This year, oceanic and atmospheric conditions in the Atlantic basin are expected to produce more and stronger hurricanes,” said Gerry Bell, Ph.D., lead seasonal hurricane forecaster with NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center."
Those predictions were not even close to what actually occurred.

    • easy answer, dinosaur farts and that is why Gore and Obama outlawed dinosaurs.

      Glad I could Help Out.

    • You might want to review some of the recent scientific literature, which answers that question.

Or keep your head in the sand where the view is always the same.

      Wake up deniers!

      • Vikki, I bet you are also a denier of science.

Time Travel, Einstien theorizes that it is possible, many scientist agree.

Ghosts, 99% of parapsycologists agree that ghosts are real!

Aliens, Thousands of scientists believe aliens are real, some even believe that they have already been abducted and probed by aliens.

Climate Change, many Climatologists theorized that the Global Average Temperatures would continue rising out of control melting the polar caps by 2014. "Unfortunatly", the last 5 years, the average earth temp has leveled and even slightly decreased. So, now climatologists theorize that instead of "Global Warming" we will experience extreme changes in climate, like massive hurricanes hitting the eastern coast of the U.S., or F4 tornados creating large paths of destruction across the Mid-West, or exessive amounts of rain causing mudslides along the Pacific states. The problem is, Meteorologists (weathermen) can show all of these events occurring multiple times over the last 200 years, and the most extreme occurraces have not been in recent years.

I am open to evidence showing any of these "Sciences' to be more than theory, but just as I would not want my President preparing for an alien invasion based on the limited science available, I also do not want to prepare needlessly for "Global Warming"/"Climate Change".

Don't you love clear-thinking people, who rely on the latest "spin" from that political owners? And cannot be bothered with reading, thinking, logic and so forth...

    • Flatulation caused past ice ages.
