    First time at this restaurant

So I go in (was on my own).. it looks roughly like an any other mid-america burger/full-service restaurant place with the wood decor, booths, etc and the server hands me a menu and does ask me if it's my first time - I say yes and that was maybe my mistake because she then proceeded to "read" (her words) the menu to me as if I couldn't figure it out. Let's see, it's in English, illustrated, prices are all clearly marked...what's there to "read"???? But she wanted to "read" me some of the the more expensive stuff...a silly way to try to upsell???. The super platter of ribs was over 60 bucks but of course she could hardly suggest that for 1 person... So I cut her off telling her I would make up my mind in a minute when she came back. She came back in 30 seconds. I chose just the plain ribs cause I figured that's what they are famous for. They come with two sides and I picked the fries (bland and chewy) and a salad (which was 99 cents extra btw but..ok fine tho it was made with the usual cheap iceberg lettuce)...
So the ribs come and they look and smell appetizing but then I found on that half of them were really tough and overcooked especially underneath...sneaky (they looked so good on top)
I guess I just was hungry on in a hurry so I did get thru most of them..
I had iced tea to drink and refills were spotty but she did come back a few times and ask me of "there was anything else I needed"..the 1/3 full glass of tea should have been a clue...
Also on the rib platter was a chiny piece of overcooked corn and a muffin cornbread (poorly made and tasteless)....

I had no dessert but the tab came to over 16 bucks. I was really disappointed so guess what...NO TIP....

I won't be going back there possibly ever again because of this very mediocre first meal at Famous (for mediocrity) Dave's)...
They seem a bit of a rip off in the end. I've had MUCH better meals at Applebee's and I always thought they were so-so sometimes.
Yeah Tony Roma's IS better but we don't have one...
