I agree that a restaurant company paying 1% of sales to a CEO plucked from obscurity is way too much. But there is real growth here. Last quarter's sales were up 13.8% year over year. The share buybacks mean sales per share were up even more than that. They are now having a hard time converting sales increases into profit increases due to rising food costs, but if you think (like the Fed) that big harvests will push food costs back down, it should be worth waiting for the profits leverage that will follow.
There would be earnings growth, but it gets eaten up by the CEO's salary and stock based complensation program. I wouldn't buy anything over $7.60 per share. Check out CRDN. They actually care about their shareholders.
