Just received Bottom Line subscription for Nov 1, 2012, volume 33, number 21

There is an article by Louis G. Navellier, chairman & founder of Navellier & associates which manages 2.5 billion in assets. Article in this months Bottom Line Nov 1 issue.
(Article starts off "The best path to big returns," (Risky stocks worth the risk) He mentions 4 stocks, & one of them is Nam Tai Electronics. He says why it is attractive.
In the recent quarter, net income jumped by 213% & revenue increased by 63% as the company expanded its production capacity at two factories that focus on making products for smartphones & tablet computer, the hottest segments of consumer electronics. Sales are expected to triple over the next year, thanks to a major contract that Nam Tai recently signed with Apple to make iPhone & I pad modules. Major Risk: Nam Tai has tethered its future to Apple continuing to produce blockbuster products. Hope this article makes everyone sleep better. Lets wait for Nov 5, earnings

      • Caff, no, NTE mostly works with the Japanese companies like Sharp, Japan Display (Sony / Toshiba / Hitachi joint venture), Sony, and Epson, though I think there is some Chinese work as well to a much smaller extent.

flip, to be precise the ipad contract is for 200k - 1M per month, and the average will definitely be below the max this quarter, but still a significant amount. The iphone LCM production, however, is probably going at full speed given the supply constraints that Apple is facing.

        Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Very informative article, Gordon gecko is a short and has nothing to offer.
We have been telling everyone on this board about this new contract to supply tablets and IPhone displays. On the last conference call, the CEO clearly told us that they manufactured 1 million tablet displays in August for an additional $90 million in new sales. Now, no tablet supplier requires this type of demand other than Apple.

NTE's contract is for 1 million per month and it's for the regular IPAD, NOT thenew mini. According to Analyst Jefferies, demand for I PADS will hit over 60 million in 2013. In Apples 3rd quarter report which ended June, 2012, indicated that they sold 17 million I PADS.

NTE is new to Apples supply chain, they are being tested and evaluated for additional new business in I PADS.

On the second BIG supply program, IPHONE 5 displays, NTE CEO clearly stated that they have a supply contract for up to 4 million displays per MONTH. The CEO stated that they were just starting production in August on the last conference call and that they needed to ramp up very fast. Analyst Piper Jaffy states that 2013 demand for I PHONE 5 will be over 160 million units.

All Analysts usually wait to see proof that sales/earnings are increasing with quarterly results before recommending a stock. Last quarter you saw a HUGH increase in sales based on only one month’s of I PAD displays sales, the 3rd quarter that just ended will have a full 3 month period of I PAD sales and start up of IPHONE sales.

The market lost over $500 BILLION in value the last 3 days, Notice that NTE stock price barely moved, everyone is waiting for the November 5th earnings release. It should be very good, but the real explosion with be in the February, 2013 4th quarter report and 2012 yearly results. 2013 will be a very good year for NTE.

One more thing to point out, there are not too many stocks out there showing this type of explosive growth. NTE will be getting a lot of attention and demand for their stock.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
