    Keystone approval on not?

My bet it looks not. It is just a very difficult decision for the president. It is a bit scary to hold on Trp shares untili it is settled.

    • Major oil discoveries being made in the Gulf of Mexico by COP and others today, will have a direct effect on the decision to build the pipeline from Canada. However, it will be built to the Canadian west coast.

      Sentiment: Sell

    • News today has the Canadian Foreign affairs minister saying that its a national imperative to get a pipeline to the west coast in a speech in Hong Kong. cbc the Canadian news agency has a story:" Pacific pipeline crucial for Canada, Baird says in Asia, march 13, 2013, also says hopes the keystone gets built, and wants to diversify trade to include more with China, Asia region and India.

    • its not a difficult decision. a 3 year old could make it. its a no brainer. jobs, good business and less dependence on ME. obama had NO problem deciding to give billions in free weapons to the muslimbrotherhood in egypt and now he is giving 'aid" to so-called syrian rebels even though their are reports of al quaeda involvement

    • Good point. Originally thought approval was a given sometime before the election based on job creation and less dependence on middle east oil supply. A point i missed is that US is enjoying a 20% plus discount on heavy Canadian crude and the president and others might want to continue to enjoy that benefit. The Canadians are saying they are "losing" billions on the sale of their oil, and of course the beneficiary of that is the USA. So does the president think the benefit to the economy is benefited more by a big construction build now or continued bargain prices on Canadian crude? of course he might wish to stay aligned with anti-oil sands pollution critics. so its not the given one might have thought. wait and see is probably prudent here. jmho
