Maybe it was good that Google missed on the Groupon deal. Small business may stop using the Groupon service after awhile:
They build they "EMPIRE" within ON2 them moved around the one involved to other TERITORIES to conquer the world and Chinese Market. Have you heard about ON2, Hantro and Verisilicon??

Tomi Jalonen, On2 Technologies, Inc. of On2 Technologies, Inc.''s information - including email, business address, business phone, biography, title, company, jobs and associations ...
I would not count on this assumption holding any water. There MUST be better EXPLANATIONs and REASONs for HIDING those ON2's over 50 SEMICONDUCTORs CUSTOMERs. I amd NOT talking about 50 regular ON2 customers, which ON2 later on might claim to have reported them in its SEC reports in 2008 or 2009.
Why ON2 did NOT list or annouce "Over 50 semiconductor customers until today [as of dec 2009, the time ON2 shareholders located the HIDDEN information about Hantro Chipset with VP8 plus H.264] in 2009 or 2008 to its shareholders? Where these ON2's over 50 semiconductor customers SUDDENLY came from? Who introduced those to ON2 in 2008 and/or 2009 long before the FRAUDULENT "merger"???

There were many contingencies ...
They were up against "HARDWARE ACCELERATED" h.264, which was licensed to hundreds of cos...they did not have the resources to combat this...it has taken Google 1 1/2 years to get the traction / support to bring this about...there is absolutely NO WAY ON2 could do this.!
"ON2 didnt have the money / staying power to wait another year and a half"
That's not what Frost publicly stated to shareholders.
"Let alone defend a "publicized" threat from Jobs , that he would put a consortium of h.264 patent holders together to go after "offenders"...suits of this nature cost megabucks to defend..ON2 just didnt have the resources"
If On2 hadn't sold then their codec would have remained closed and likely there wouldn't be any patent suits. On2 never faced any suits with previous versions of their codecs and VP8 is more of the same but with new improvements that On2 patented.
