Google says most analysts are overestimating its Q4 EPS
Why come out at the last minute this past Friday night and say most analysts are still including Motorola Home numbers and thus overestimating Goog's overall EPS? Why didn't they say this at least a few weeks ago to give analysts time to make downward adjustments? Google's just going to miss big tomorrow and it's Google's own lazy fault! Mobile's eating its lunch again, cost per click is down again for the 5th quarter in a row, and Goog is just plain desperate now and flailing about as the world transitions to mobile. It just doesn't know what to do as its desktop PC advertising empire crumbles due to its own damn Android money pit. I talked to a wireless company rep today who told me that as far as Android phones go, 3-year old Android 2.3 Gingerbread phones were far outselling Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean phones. Why? Gingerbread phones cost less than $50. Gingerbread phones are 2 times more represented on the Google Play store than Android 4.0 or higher phones. After all, Google Play apps are mostly free games, which fits in perfectly with these low-income phone buyers. Google's desktop ads shrink while its mobile ad revenues also shrink due to low-income Gingerbread phone buyers.
