More than half of shares traded occur on exchanges other than the exchange on which an equity is listed. So most of CRM trades off the Nasdaq. I have noticed your above mentioned phenomenon in other equities.
My hypothesis is that small accumulations are made off-exchange and then collected in one report, so then all of those small delays look like a dark area until the big lump comes in and appears as one trade.
I do remember last quarter another cloud computer, reporting weeks before crm, did not do very well. It dropped and took crm for a dip, from which crm quickly recovered and resumed the madness.
already trading in the high 173's after hours. should be back above 175 tomorrow and 177 by Friday. All time highs again next week. Don't listen to the loser shorts around here. They have never been right.
