<<WASHINGTON (AP) -- Shoppers won't shop. Companies won't hire. The government won't spend on economic stimulus -- it's cutting instead. And the Federal Reserve is reluctant to do anything more.
Without much to invigorate growth, the economy may be in danger of slipping into a stupor like the one Japan has failed to shake off for more than a decade. And Wall Street is spooked.>>
I have spoken with a number of business owners over the past year and we all agree; there will be no new hiring until we have a president who does not embrace socialism and threatens to distribute the hard earned wealth of individuals and companies to those who would not bother to work for it.
As much as some of you may disagree, the fact remains that Corporate America is sitting back and maintaining a low profile while they wait to see what happens in 2012. You cannot build the world's most successful and wealthy capitalistic experiment and then suddenly decide to take it all away without serious financial repercussions.
I lost one of my employees last week as she is moving out of state and I am not replacing her.
If we have a moderate elected into office in 2012, I predict that hiring will begin to resume.
<<conclusions supporting your bias that Republicans are good and Democrats are the cause of all of the world's miseries.>>
WRONG! Only those who feel like they have their own printing press to waist money on stupid projects. Applies for Dems & Reps.
<<How did the Contract with America help the economy?>>
General, you are baiting me, it help to balance the budget, ENOUGH!
HOW did it help?
Andd if balancing the budget helps the economy, then you must think the economy was horrific under Reagan.
You have no consistent set of views--just a hodge-podge of rambling partisan nonsense rigged to give contrasdictory conclusions supporting your bias that Republicans are good and Democrats are the cause of all of the world's miseries.
<<Do you ever listen? I already told you that Clinton was sensible enough to move to the center>>
But ther economy was booming before he "moved to the center".
How do you explain that?
<<You claimed that the problem was because of Obama. But why were there not problems under Clinton?>>
Do you ever listen? I already told you that Clinton was sensible enough to move to the center and he did not scare the living cr@p out of business men.
As far as Obama goes, I was simply agreeing with your boss. So why do you want to pick a fight with me over that? Like I said, go do your whinning to Fncy. 8)
