In your example you have proven my point. The $120 script yeilds $20 gross profit. The $11.10 yeilds $10.10 gross profit. You'll have to sell twice as much to make up your costs to yeild your same net profit. Aren't pharmicists on the verge of over worked and in short supply? Not good.
perhaps this was the wrong thread to interject my comments..as I was primarily adressing individuals who criticize the pricing of generics as disproportionate to name brands...
If your sell sentiment is based on some underlying negativity you feel towards this stock....then hats off.
If it is based on the current bruhaha over generics and Walmart.... or an apprehension regarding overworked pharmacists and the educational community's ability to supply new grads and additional technologies (computerization/automation/technicians/etc)to allow for Walgreens planned expansion to 7000 stores by 2010... then I would suggest that your apprehensions might be misplaced.
""If your sell sentiment is based on some underlying negativity you feel towards this stock....then hats off."" You got that right! I feel the company is lead by the most phoney people one could ever meet and thus is a house of cards the will fall.
