    Walgreens will be sinking

Although this is not from the horse's mouth directly, several pharmacists working for Walgreen's all say the following; Each time they go to a meeting, the higher ups say "had you bought this stock in 1980, you'd be a millionaire." What they don't say is that for the last 15 years had they bought the stock, they'd be on the balls of their ass.

They say that all of the corporate executives have their heads up their ass and when you ask them questions at these meetings, they ignore you. Most of the pharmacists do not even purchase stockss of Walgreen as they know its worthless paper and in fact the only reason they stay at Walgreens is that they receive a decent salary and benefits but the pharmacists I spoke with all recommend CVS or other companies, not WAG.

To their knowledge most WAG stores are losing money.

    • I heard this, I heard that, this person said this, that person said that .... what are you, a highschool girl passing along gossip?

Please don't post idiotic statements unless you have some credible evidence.

    • WTF?

I've never heard such worthless unsubstantiated crap in all my days. Balls of their ass? WTF? Can't you make up a better lie than this? I guess not. You posted it already. That's all you got?

      Total bull sh*t.

    • You spout off with ridiculous, insane and incorrect statements. Fifteen years ago, WAG stock was at a split-adjusted price of 4. It's now around 40. That's a ten-fold increase in value. Look at a damn chart. Also, how can most stores be losing money??? In fiscal year '06, they made $1.75 billion! That's net earnings of 1.75 billion dollars. How could most stores be losing money?

      Care to explain?

    • "Although this is not from the horse's mouth directly"
It is, in fact, from the OTHER end
"had you bought this stock in 1980, you'd be a millionaire." What they don't say is that for the last 15 years had they bought the stock, they'd be on the balls of their ass."
If you bought Wag in January,1991 you would have less than $3.50 invested in each share you now hold after FOUR splits!!
"To their knowledge most WAG stores are losing money."
The KEY words here are "to their knowledge". I hope they have more knowledge in the practice of pharmacy because last quarter Wag made OVER $12 BILLION!!
What a stupid, worthless, ignorant post from a fool who doesn't have his facts straight and operates either on hearsay or duplicity! Don't waste our time!
