Judging from WalMart's miserable sales figures and soon to be announced profit decrease I would say someone is eating WalMart's breakfast, lunch and dinner and it just might be Wag/CVS/Target/Best Buy, you name it! Watch for the sales figures the end of this week and see who is eating who's lunch. If you are an investor in Wmt you will probably be losing your lunch when the results come out! Any more questions?
My friend Cramer just said that he's now buying his Rx at WMT because of $4 drug program and also mentioned that Rx not included in the program were also the cheapest in America, my take is WMT is ALWAYS the best place.
ALWAYS at WMT.
Ok Kanuk_PQ, I think you've had enough sugar buzz off all that cheap old pie you've been gorging yourself on. That mus be why you are a gorge-ous French Canadian that is so proud of her AMERICAN company. I don't know of very many Canadians that are all that pro-American in retail, much less WalMart.
Is this your loser "friend Cramer" that you are so fond of:
<My friend Cramer just said that he's now buying his Rx at WMT because of $4 drug program> (Cramer is unemployed?)
It's one thing to be a liar but to be a flaming, flagrant LIAR like Kanuk_PQ is a special talent. What Cramer said was "morons will be buying Wal-Mart" and probably at Wal-Mart like this mental pygmy. There is a reason he is a Lunkhead Emeritus and it's his uncanny ability to always get the story wrong, ALWAYS! He has gotten too many Lunkhead awards and has now become a nuisance that MUST be ignored! Goodby pie man.
As a loyal WAG stockholder for years I must agree we are in for some rough times for a few months. Doesn't matter to me as I am not selling - will put in buy order today - in 6 months all of this down slide will be forgotten and we will be riding a high wave - 50's or 60's. Then I will reap my profits and pat myself on the back for being patient - and knowing this stock.
threelakes, it's obvious that you know a lot about investment and I'm sure that you're not stucked with wag like many have been for years on this site (and not making a single penny.
Happy thanksgiving to you and your family.
You know you're in sad shape when the only poster who agrees with you and compliments you is the looney Kanuts_PQ! He is a moron and as his buddy Cramer says "morons will buy WalMart"!
"I'm sure that you're not stucked with wag"
As you can also see, English must be his 3rd or 4th language. He invests like he speaks, not very well!
It looks like they didn't get enough unemployed morons like Kanuk to shop their dumpy stores compared to last year. Cutting prices just means less profit in December/January.
Wal-Mart said Saturday that U.S. same-store sales FELL 0.1% in November from a year ago.
The Bentonville, Ark. retail giant had forecast "flat" sales for November. A key industry metric, the same-store figure measure the change in sales at stores that have been open for at least one year.
November's decline follows a PALTRY 0.5% same-store sales increase in October, which Wal-Mart had blamed on unusually strong sales in October 2005, when consumers in some regions scrambled to purchase items in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
Wal-Mart didn't offer ANY explanation for November's results in Saturday's announcement. The company plans to issue a complete November sales report Thursday, when most other large retailers also plan to disclose monthly sales.
At the beginning of the month, Wal-Mart slashed prices on a slew of popular electronics products. Such strategies can be RISKY, however, because they pressure REVENUE and MARGINS even as they generate headlines and lure more shoppers.
Retailers including Wal-Mart were aggressive in offering holiday promotions this week, and shoppers flooded stores on Friday hoping to get bargains at the start of the traditional holiday shopping season.
Wal-Mart shares lost 13 cents Friday to close at $47.90.
"Wal-Mart estimated that November sales fell 0.1 percent at its U.S. stores open at least a year"
Hey Kanuk, what happened at WMT? The $4 Scam really brought them in, in droves - LOL.
Looking forward to WAG's Nov numbers. The battle for consumers continues - price vs. convenience.
how much and in what form of guranteed payment????? long time stock owner, but wise enough to realize, this company's stock is done. Will never rebound above 40 again. The valuations do not lie, just wish I could sell today before end of year, or had the know how to buy options. Because if one thing is for sure, besides the sun coming up in the morning, is this thing is headed below 35, it hurts to say that but sometimes the truth hurts. OUCH.
"sorry for this quick and short post but I'm my way to WMT"
I don't think an apology is necessary for a short, quick post but maybe an apology for posting at all is in order. What a Canadian turkey!
