    Below is the first email I sent to Walgreens Corporate about the situation my friends and I have encountered at our local Walgreens.

    To WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:


    Yesterday, the new ad for Walgreeens came out and every Sunday my friends and I scour the ad to see what kind of deals you have and we are avid coupon clippers. Most of the time, we will shop at Walgreens 2 or 3 times a week if there is something we need or even want to try. Yesterday, one of us went into the Walgreens at the store address below and was served by your store manager who was refusing to take coupons and then proceeded to yell at my friend about how she HATES people who come in to the store and use coupons.

    The manager was yelling, not talking or even attempting to be nice about the situation even if she was irritated, about this to my friend with other customers lined up behind her. My friend of course tried to defend her actions since nothing she was doing was wrong. All she wanted was to use her coupon at face value! My friend was so upset she left the store crying and all of us have vowed never to go into that store again.

    I would like to know exactly what your coupon policy is because we are doing nothing illegal by using the coupons. You get reimbursed for the coupon plus an additional 8 cents so we are trying to figure out the logic as to why our good money is being refused by your stores. This also occurred today at the store at your store on 8020 Denton Highway, Watauga, TX 76148 when they refused to take coupons for Skintimate shave gel because you have it on sale?

    We are all prepared to take this to the media but I would like your interpretation of your coupon policy so I can have all the facts straight.'

    Their response today was to have the store manager who yelled at my friend call and leave an 'annoyed' voice mail on my phone. Do they really think we want to talk to the woman who yelled at us for using coupons in the first place? We are ALL refusing to shop there and are taking up a campaign to get others not to shop there as well. Being treated like we are doing something wrong is completely unjustified!!
