    Open Q & A for Greg Wasson

Dear Mr. Wasson, Please tell us how much money Take Care Clinics are making (or costing) and what your plans are to increase the clinics profits. Also, can you determine how much mail pharmacy is costing in lost front-end sales? Do you anticipate these lost sales to increase as mail order increases due to PBM designations? Does the company have any strategy to repair the damages done to its' PBM business by the shady dealings that proliferated under Mr. J. Zavada? Additionally, can you justify for your loyal customers, why service has dramatically decreased, product selection is poor and the overall good things about Walgreens are slowly disappearing and yet the company can afford to pay additional multi-millions is dividends? These are just a few questions your loyal customers and shareholders would like addressed. Thank you for your consideration.

    • Here is a better question how has POWER affected the companies bottom line? Also why is management not promoting POWER and you never hear about it now? How many customers as in scripts on a whole were lost now in these two states now that POWER is fully instituted in Florida and Arizone?? Does anyone else find it incredibly weird that with all the layoffs and cost cutting...that making earnings was not a huge problem even during the beginning of the recession until POWER was instituted.?? HMMM

      • Seriously, that is a legitimate question. Let's use this topic as a serious forum to ask questions such as this. Investors want to know. The analysts have asked, but always get a spin story. The numbers are available, but not to the public. So, folks, please list your questions and keep listing them. Keep this topic in top priority. Force the public to not lose focus of the underlying unanswered questions that have been asked and never answered.

The dividend is increasing because the company is more profitable.

Selection is decreasing in stores after an in depth study determined that 22 different clock radios were not necessary, for example. They covered this in a conference call. Perhaps you should listen to one. A more limited selection of things people want and need benefits everyone. If you say "poor" selection, then I'm not quite sure what it is that you're looking for. Maybe a feminine hygene product with a rebate, perhaps?

Your statement about service assumes it has decreased. I would say that the service has never been better. Text messages when Rx are ready is a good example of service measures in place today that were not just a few years ago.

LOL...oh yeah that's why they keep hacking hours away from workers in the stores. that's why some stores have ZERO pharmacy tech hours. because the company is sooooo profitable. the dividend increased as a knee-jerk reaction to the stock price dropping like a rock in the wake of the cvs-caremark debacle.

yes, text messages are a wonderful replacement for actual human beings not stretched beyond their limits... i hope none of us has a family member harmed by the current Rx staffing levels forced by walgreens corporate.

      • Thanks for your input Rick.

      • Service at the store nearest me has suffered. Either the pharmacy staff has to work these days or their attitude is less than great either way I am told each and every time....its an hour wait. I hope I never need pain meds. Texting is a nice touch, maybe they should ask if you have any questions right away then they can take their time and giggle all they want and never talk to a LIVE customer. BOLTA

      • I went to one today to see what they could do for my incontinence, obesity and general overall ignorance. They said they couldn't help me but they got me out of there quickly and at no charge so I loved the price! They said something about the smell I was emitting when they showed me the door.
