    Conference Call "Amnesia!"

     

    Last QTR's SGA was 3.921 billion dollars. An all time record. Rising faster than sales, and geometrically faster than profits

    How many conference calls where SGA reduction is talked about are needed before management actually delivers by DOING something to mediate this disgraceful cancer to the P&L and S/P?

    Talk is C-H-E-A-P. But the cost of talking without actually executing is murdering shareholder value.

      Duh, what cluster fails to recognize is that WAG has an all-time record number of locations, over 7500 in fact.

      WAG also produced record revenues and record profits. But I didn't see that in your post, though.

      What IS a record is the number of consecutive negative rants about this company by you (sounds more like a broken record, actually) and the record number of alternative IDs you post under... along with the record number of boots you've recieved from Yahoo!

      The SG&A growth was due to the cost of a Federal pickle regulation, you see the feds want to be able to track pickles from there point of production to whole-sale storage and handling to the store self and finally to the purchaser.
      All pickels will need documentation under the new regulations, with a increased cost from a indirect spend point of view.
      As seen by WHI/WHS compliance and outcomes department, a upward trend in Rx non Compliance, lower reimbursement and increase SG&A costs are trending-up with the increasing pickel purchases.
      As was uncovered in Freakanomic's, a direct correlation to a outcome sometimes is misinterpreted by reactionary events, naming negotiation style as one example.
      This downward trend of lower profits on generic medications and increased SG&A growth has nothing to due with a corporations directional activity, it is directly caused by increased pickel sales and compliance mandates.
