The "Summer Swoon" is a legend on Wall Street. It affects Walgreens like most all players.
The difference is that many other stocks recover in the Fall because analysts return from vacation and buy them for forward potential. As for Walgreens, the forward "potential" is shaped by earnings expectations and the fear that earnings will NOT meet analyst's estimates.
I would opine that such fears are well justified and that the forward earnings are an upcoming DISASTER, courtesy of Duane Reade and "The SGA Bloat-Monster"!
