The $ that was once made in dispensing is gone. I worked in PBM and now own my own shop. I see the rates, but I also see this as a bottom for retail. Generics once made good money, but with aggressive MAC rates, profitability has dwindled to a point where Brand can be more profitable. The battle is not about capturing individual customers with promotions and deals, but deals with the payor. WAG is behind in this concept probably because WHS failed. WAG may as well sell out to MHS.
