I'm familiar with the arrogance of Walgreens. A common phrase during any contract negotiations was "we're WALGREENS , a multi-billion dollar company", and "we're the gorilla". This is the same arrogance of Arthur Andersen, before they collapsed.
Hiring a "chicken plucker" instead of staying inside the company is where Walgreens made a mistake. They should have promoted someone from within who was a pharmacist instead of going to the outside and getting someone who doesn't know the culture!
