    WAG abandons Express Scripts

Got letter in mail from Walgreens that they're abandoning Express Scripts customers 2012. They want us to complain to HR, etc. Guess what, Express Scripts Mail Order saves TONS OF MONEY of overpriced Walgreen's prescription drugs. 100's of $$$ saved NOT USING Walgreens! Along with their way overpriced items on everything in store Walgreen's should go BK.

    • So, will ESRX lower your drug costs since WAG was so "expensive"

Hell no, your prices will go up and it you will have less choice of where to get your RX

Mail order: HAHA USPS on verge of BK. 3 days aweek delvery on the way.

      • Correct filling a prescription at ESRX mail will be cheaper than any retail for the payor.

Any retail outlet just adds to the convenience and as a result a cost is added....

        Mail is always more efficient.
With 90 day supplies, the 3 days that Mail will deliver will be more than adquate. Or ESRX can strike a deal with UPS/ FEDEX....I am sure they will appreciate the business.

    • U being sent the letter increases WAG costs of doing business. Its not ESRX's fault as much as it is URES. U should work for companies who do not utilize ESRX as a PBM. Please show WAG how much you support them by looking for a new employer!

haha just saving some dude crnxgen sometime posting nonsense.

Most people look at that letter and are looking for alternate pharmacies. Consider going to an Independent as you will get better customer service.

      • I received a new RX for you know what that is, cost, profit, etc......$$$$$$

thanks for taking the time to right to me!

I cant believe WAG/CVS retail pharmacist cant access the internet at work. However, corporate managers/VP, etc are on it all day!

When you speak negative about independents, you speak negative about the foundation that the US was built on. Correct me if I am wrong, did charles walgreens, goldsteins, not start out as an independent...

The McDonaldization of pharmacy was caused by............

I take it your a rxm for wag.....good luck to you, not everyone can have the vision or understanding to go into business for oneself. how is ure $300 annual bonus compared to your DMs, and VPs?

      • "Most people look at that letter and are looking for alternate pharmacies."

As an independent pharmacist who spends most of his time ignoring the customers, because I am posting on message board using my computer to bash Walgreens instead of filling prescriptions, I disagree with the idea that people will look for another pharmacy, because they LIKE THEIR PHARMACIST and they DISLIKE their 3rd party program that is faceless, impersonal and always denying their claims! They will force their employer to find a 3rd party program that is acceptable to Walgreens because they have loyalty to Walgreens and they have NO LOYALTY to either their health plan who they hate or Express Scrips who they probably have NEVER HEARD OF!

"Consider going to an Independent as you will get better customer service."

NOT AT MY STORE! You will get to meet my $7.00/hour tech that I pile all of the work on, deny him breaks because I am posting on Yahoo and force him to handle all customer complaints! However I do make quite a bit of money selling adult diapers to a fat, corpulent slob who got fired from the Walgreens down the street for incompetence in the camera department and posts here quite a lot! He doesn't worry about my high prices because we charge it all to the government!
