Move it out to the sales floor??? Yeah right, no displays except those cleared by our sorry DM were permitted. Balance to other stores??? Yeah right, if every store has 8 cans of the same formula, why would they want more. Am I bitter, no, losing my job was the best thing for me looking back on it. I still like to get on these boards, and gloat when the company does poorly. I do feel sorry for my former coworkers, that still have to put up with the poor leadership of this company though. I guess you could say that I am one of the thousands of walgreens haters, that were screwed by this company at one point or another. You on the other hand must work at Deerfield, and seek to put a positive spin on everything.
"Nope, I lost mine back in the first round of cuts back in 08-09"
So you're still bitter about losing your job 4 years ago. The inventory problems you speak of having back then sound like a case of poor store management. Perhaps instead of leaving this merchandise to rot in the stockroom, you could have moved it out to the sales floor. Why couldn't you have balanced out some of these items with neighboring stores? Why didn't you make a list of overstock and send it to all the stores in your district? Maybe that's why they canned your sorry butt.
And don't blame the current leadership for building stores "in close proximity to one another". They had NOTHING to do with it.
pretty sure it will tank again, after earnings. It is like a wave, it will follow the market up as long as the overall market goes up, but will drop down again each time earnings are posted. The cycle will go on.
