What are the chances that TEVA will buy MOMENTA ?

    Lets end this

Teva is not going to buy MNTA to protect Copaxone and get lovenox.

Both marketing rights are owned by Sandoz so whatever happens to MNTA the only person who will be selling either drug is Sandoz. Even if MNTA owned the marketing rights to Copaxone if Teva bought MNTA the FTC would make MNTA divest Copaxone before they would approve the transaction.

Secondly any company that would be interested in buying MNTA for their Biologics platform that does not play in the generics space would still want Lov and Cop because all it is is a revenue stream all marketing is being done by Sandoz.

Teva is not going to bankrupt MNTA with legal fees.

Not going to happen as pointed out MNTA has strong cash flow and what people are forgetting is that a large portion of the legal expenses are being footed by Sandoz who is as large as teva

      Totally agree. Will not happen.

Again, agreed. But this points to one thing that has been bothering me for a long time. Many MNTA believers seem to think that Teva will do anything to crush MNTA. TEVA's real competitor from its standpoint is NVS, not MNTA. NVS is the sales company and has the real economic interest (especially with Lov, since its economics are much less effected by new generic competetion). And TEVA CANNOT CRUSH NVS. If anything TEVA is the underdog in that battle.

What this points to for me is that TEVA is just trying to protect its turf in all ways that it can, and especially against NVS. That fact that MNTA has an interest is not that important to TEVA at all.

      JMO.
