What's going on is that you've shorted a steady growing company and now you're scared. You're thinking that after a day when the stock drops 0.6% you might incite panic selling by posting "what is going on".
Did you see Google earnings? And you do know that IACI's largest business is search, not dating?
Sure the stock is up nicely this year, but that doesn't means its a great short guaranteed to come down. The current price reflects the supply / demand balance after five million shares have been sold short. It's not as if your short idea was very original. Imagine how high the price wouold be without the short position.
Going forward, we have the long-term internet usage growth combined with savy management, plus we're still coming out of a recession. We can look ahead to strong earnings growth and a steady rise in the stock price. Short covering will super-charge the stock price.
