Given IAC Chairman Barry Diller's investment in Aereo, which is being sued by content creators for re-transmitting television programs without authorization, it is perhaps not too surprising to see a track record building with IAC's permissive attitude toward other people's intellectual property. After all, P2P programs like FrostWire are simply novel and revolutionary means of transmitting content. But it would be a stretch to believe that Google (GOOG), which has strict guidelines on how its partners distribute toolbars, would see things the same way.
