I bought "Pechala's" research report on 4-14-08 and it had a sell recommendation.
Their 12 month forecast had a range of 8.61 to 19.13, goes to show you nobody knows
anything at all about the stock market.
The old farts that run this place are truly out of touch. If nothing is wrong or if something is wrong, some notice should be announced one way or the other. Since they have not relased any earnings warnings, leads you to believe that their earning are ok, but you never know with this bunch. When your stock drops 75% and "no comment" is best they can come up with, verified they dont give a damn about their stockholders.
Mind-blowing blatant unprofessionalism.
I know and I sent one nasty email today regarding that and what they have done and continue to allow. I asked they share it w/ the BOD as the message baords are filling up w/ the vote them out chorus. I also said based on their decisions I think they don't care as the co's days are numbered and the leaches are trying to suck the equity out beforehand!
The buyback talk was smoke and mirrors. It was "authorized" thats all. They have not bought back one single share at these give-a-way prices, makes you wonder what's cooking, right? Apparently, whatever that is cooking smells pretty awful.
That is a huge one day drop, No news is not good news in a situation like this.
How the heck does a company like this fall off the face of the earth with farmers having to buy new houses to keep all their money in these days?? These guys should be flipping tractor loans etc. over like pancakes every day and using a silo to store their coin in!
I am almost ready to buy, this is getting pretty low. I believe the dividend is secure. For what it is worth, I spoke with my local banker who has been originating mortgages and selling most of them to TONE. He states business is good and the debt is good. I think no one knows how messy the Florida problem is. I think they usually have a shareholder meeting in May, might be good to go to if your in or near Lincoln.
It's hard to believe this POS was trading as high as $9.45 as recently as Monday, four days ago.
Down about 75% from the year ago peak, and more than 15% just this week.
TierOne has ruined me and my future. I will never be able to recover from this.
