Didn't see any news, other than the news from a few days ago on Gabelli increasing.
$5 was a resistance level. Now that we're above $5, it would seem to me that we could go significantly higher.
I have a modest position here (1% of my portfolio), but have seen this, since I started buying late last year, as an excellent and timely "turnaround" candidate....and also a takeover candidate. My buy out price in a full and fair auction: $8-9
The company has been around awhile, and I suspect has undervalued real estate on the books (although I haven't investigated this in great detail).
I bought in last fall. I don't think the board would be to receptive to offers below 10 since they control a huge block of stock. But hey you never know. Still lots of overcapacity out there IMO all the more reason to sell to a stronger competitor.
Of course we can go higher. What is the real book value?
for example land bought years ago is reported at cost. buildings and facilities are at depreciated values. so the infrastructure of this operating company is worth a lot.
then we have the housing market get better and the "new contract" plus we have
winnabago ...they could get into the picture....lastly this so thin that any positive news can spike the price, although management is very quiet and close to the vest
