    Green Energy

I've been in this fund for a few years now, but with Green/altenrative Energy companies emerging and picking up some momentum does anyone know if PRNEX is invested in this sub-sector? I would assume that Ober is watching the sector closely, but I'd like to know for sure.

    • sub-sector,yes but i don't believe anything direct i.e. solar/wind//turbine.you said you have been in this fund for some time now, were
you fortunate enough to sell any shares at $70
or somewhere near that point? i think this fund will reach that point again around sometime in
2011,and i think you should not drive on highway 431 after dark on weekends either.

      • That sucks!! One would think that given the nature of the fund the PM would start investing into the alt. energy sector since that area could be very lucrative in the long run.

No, unfortunately I didn't sell PRNEX when it hit $70. I've never been a good judge in regard to market timing and the sale of long term assets; therefore, my portfolio got hit pretty hard last year. For short term trades, I usually set a price ceiling/floor and once the asset has hit that mark I dump it. However, PRNEX is a long term holding for me; so when it dropped down to around $30 I just bought more in order to reduce my costs. I spent about 7 months buying up PRNEX and PRASX. I've also added to other commodity.
