    ANALYST INTERVIEW
Senior Industry Analysts Offer Their Views on HEVC
"We asked two well-known industry analysts,
Avni Rambhia, Senior Industry Analyst of Frost
& Sullivan’s Digital Media Practice, and Michelle
Abraham, Senior Analyst with Multimedia Research
Group, to provide their views on HEVC.
Both are actively tracking and reporting on
the new compression standard, so we asked
them a set of questions to get their impressions
about early market drivers, critical next steps for
the industry and the timing of solutions. Here’s
    what they had to say.

    6. Knowing what you do about our HEVC
product and strategy, how would you describe
    Rovi’s positioning in this market?

Both analysts were positive about Rovi’s position
in the market, a view shaped by their belief
that an end-to-end approach is critical to the
success of HEVC. Michelle said that Rovi benefits
from having a broad view of the market from
    both the consumer and professional perspective;
Avni said that Rovi is unique in its holistic
    approach and scalable solution.
