GERN investors, bad news. Nature article says its one or the other. P53 protein keeps you cancer free at the expense of aging. If you want to live longer, you get cancer. You want to be cancer free forever? You're gonna get old, faster.
GERN will never overcome this dilemna (hell, they can't even get their hair tonic to market).
This news is weighing heavily of GERN. Expect it to head even lower as this devastating news is absorbed.
The p53 factor that controls telomeres/aging is like unto growth factors that control the life cycles of all cells.
Sure there is a trade off. Just because one extreme seems to be aging and the other a propensity for cancer, the value of understading this riddle is not obviated.
If you solve the big puzzle does that mean you have to be able to live forever. If you cure cancer does that mean anything less than eternal life is failure. you set a high standard.
In the last 2 days I count 80+ posts from people who claim to have given up on GERN. Soon we will see what sort of eternal life these dumb shorts have. I think it will get very very short, best cover now while you still can.
