LONDON (Reuters) - Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida, one of the leading sex symbols of the 1950s and 1960s, is selling some of her diamond jewelry to raise money for stem cell research, saying now is the time to give back for the fortunate life she has had.
....Hmm, I wonder if she owns any shares of Geron? I doubt it.
Probably not. In fact, she should be excommunicated for supporting stem cell research. It's against the church pro-life policy. You understand it's all right to keep embryoes on ice for a few years then toss them in the trash, but don't use them for research that might cure diseases afflicting the living. That's pro life, right? Guess she should be happy this isn't the Middle Ages. She would be burned at the stake and the church would take possession of her jewelry.
