    http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bs?s=CVC

(they can't even calculate a d/e ratio for that company)

    here's another one:

    • Hey assholes try to keep you ignorant responses to 2 sentences...........(per your suggestion)cause you obviously don't have a clue. Hang in there Peb........

    • Sorry for the misspelling and I don't really care what msgs I get, those three bozo's deserve what they get!

    • >>By the way, I declare the the boards should now be owned by peebles, obviously smarter than mr crackpot. <<

ya know what that gets you (besides a complaint about misspelling my name)?

that gets you a couple msgs accusing you of being me!!!
      (:>D)

p.s. i gave up ownership of rental property when i sold my seashore condo back in sept. (especially ownership in low(no)rent districts such as these msg boards.

    • Wow, it took longer than I expected for the split personalities to show up. Where is cleveland jim, he has yet to show up yet? Maybe you buttheads can make up a few more names for us to slam on! By the way, I declare the the boards should now be owned by peebles, obviously smarter than mr crackpot.

    • >>Can you name a few companies in any industry (not just this one) that have this huge debt problem to try to crawl out from under?<<

      here's some more for you:

      vz....total debt 39 BILL.
      f.....total debt 171 BILL

    • Jim, way to beat up Puddinghead with the truth. I just recommended your post, since it is a fine example of how I want things run here on my board. Sooner or later, guys like Puddin will either diisappear for good or face the music and comply with our demand to debate on the facts. It looks like you may have Puddin turning over a new leaf, judging by the quote of his question. But I think we should give him a week or two to make sure he's seen the error of his ways and is truly repenting. Please keep me posted about his progress, since I just may consider conditionally removing him from my ignore list if he behaves himself. But speaking of behaving himself, I was curious this morning when I noticed that 10 posts in a row were on ignore (and within a very small time frame). I figured it must have been one of the sourpuss cheerleaders drowning their sorrows from owning this filthy mutt. And sure enough - there's a drunken rampage by Puddin like we haven't seen around here in a long time. But give the old coot credit - here he is posting again with only about 9.5 hours between posts. I think he's been drinking so long that he doesn't even get hangovers any more. Or maybe even worse, he hits the bottle first thing in the morning to "make him right again". At any rate my friend, let me know if you think he ever becomes worthy of me giving him another chance.

      (Comcrap is dying.)

    • this is not a question but a REBUTTAL of your dodging answer; therefore i am not limited to just 2 lines and i will take as much (but not more) than the amount of space you just took.

if 27bill is a "mountain of debt", then doesn't a debt/equity ratio of only 0.648 indicate that there must be an even GREATER MOUNTAIN OF ASSETS SUPPORTING THAT DEBT?

      >>It doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude that this $27 Billion is a MOUNTAIN OF DEBT. Who has more? Can you name a few companies in any industry (not just this one) that have this huge debt problem to try to crawl out from under?<<

there's a big difference between having debt and having a debt "problem". YOU SURE AS HELL DODGED #2 when i asked about paying off 7 (20% of it) in just one year, didn't you?

      GM ... 279 BILL (if 27bill is a mountain, what's 279bill?)
      C......380 BILL (if 27bill is a mountain, what's 380bill?

hey, YOU are the guy that said "any industry". as the chinese say: be careful what you're asking for.

      >>I know you feel my comparison to other NASDAQ top ten companies are of no value and thats great but give me something to go on here. <<

you're right about your comparisons being of no value and you sure as hell got MORE than you go on; otherwise why did you stop at #1?

did i say something about DODGING #2? it looks like you ran out of gas with #1.

    • "hey jim, what constitutes a "mountain of debt"? "

Pebs, I will give you credit for the second time this week. You managed to post a simple question that in all honesty I didn't think you were capable of.

      Answer:

(Sorry no surprise) $27 Billion dollars is a mountain of debt. There is what, 20,000 publically traded companies (I could be way off) and I think Comcast is in the top .05 percent in terms of total debt. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude that this $27 Billion is a MOUNTAIN OF DEBT. Who has more? Can you name a few companies in any industry (not just this one) that have this huge debt problem to try to crawl out from under?

I know you feel my comparison to other NASDAQ top ten companies are of no value and thats great but give me something to go on here.

The facts seem to support my argument and your best course of action here seems to be to change the subject.

This was way to easy. Ask me another question free of charge. Same rules apply: One question, two lines or less and I'll be happy to respond with sound logic and common sense (again).

      Jim

    • >>>>>>>>JUST POST THE QUESTION! Your entire reply should be no more than two lines long and consist of only a question. Easy enough?<<<<

isn't it true that after having reduced 34 bill of debt at 12/31/02 down to 27bill at 12/31/03, comcast still managed to increase their cash position by over $1bill?

    • >>>>>>>>JUST POST THE QUESTION! Your entire reply should be no more than two lines long and consist of only a question. Easy enough?<

can you name a competitor i can look up so i can match their debt to comcast's?
