    Dallas Cowboy channel on Comcast

Comcast and Dallas Cowboys Create Cable Channel
    Thursday, August 26, 2004

Comcast and the Dallas Cowboys have formed an unprecedented partnership
    to
create a cable channel dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys and their fans.
    The
new all digital channel - Dallas Cowboys Channel, A Comcast Sports
    Network -
will launch Wednesday, September 8, 2004, just a few days before the
Cowboys' season opener at Minnesota. The new channel will be available
    on
Comcast Digital Cable channel 276 as part of Comcast's established
    Digital
Plus level of service, as well as Comcast's new Digital Sports Tier,
    which
    will be available soon.
Last week, Comcast announced it had reached a national agreement to
    carry
the National Football League's new NFL Network, the first channel fully
dedicated to the NFL and the sport of professional football. The NFL
    Network
will also launch on Comcast's Dallas area cable systems before the
    start of
the NFL season. Like the Dallas Cowboys Channel, the NFL Network will
    be
available on Digital Plus as well as the Digital Sports Tier on Comcast
    Digital Cable channel 275.
Both channels are being added to the Comcast Digital Plus lineup at no
    additional charge.
"No other team in the NFL has such a vast and loyal a fan base as
    'America's
Team,' said Mike Cleland, Comcast's area vice president. "This new
    channel
is going to give Cowboy fans access to their team like never before.
    This
also builds on Comcast's ever-growing commitment to deliver local and
    unique
products and services that our customers want."
The network will offer fans great original programming that includes
    live
coverage of Coach Bill Parcell's morning press conferences, "Cowboys
    Today"
a nightly news show from practice, plus behind the scenes interviews.
Additionally, the channel will feature call-in talk shows showcasing
players, coaches, cheerleaders and front office personnel as well as
    "Owners
Desk," a weekly report from Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones. The new Dallas
Cowboys Channel promises fans the ultimate Cowboys television
    experience.
"Comcast can't imagine a better partner than the Dallas Cowboys," said
    Ann
Montgomery, regional senior vice president for the Southwest Region.
    "We
plan to launch the Dallas Cowboys Channel not only in the Dallas
metropolitan area, but also on Comcast cable systems in neighboring
    states,
    including Little Rock, AR.; Las Cruces, Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM;
Tucson, AZ and Los Angeles, CA."
More than 1.3 million Comcast customers will have access to the Dallas
    Cowboys Channel at launch.
"We know that Comcast will be a great partner for the Dallas Cowboys
    and
will allow our fans an opportunity to get an inside look into our
organization that most viewers don't typically get to see," said Jerry
    Jones
owner of the Dallas Cowboys. "I am confident that the Dallas Cowboys
    Channel
will be a tremendous addition to Comcast's robust line-up and a prime
    choice
for Cowboy fans. In offering a unique combination of up-to-the-minute
current news with a rich archive of original Cowboys-produced
    programming,
we feel there will be quality content to entertain generations of
    Cowboys
    fans."
