why can't these guys ever appreciate their customers?
Once again, Comcast says screw you. For years, in my prewired house, I have been able to watch analog in every room. But Comcast thinks I need to pay more for that. 7.97 per month, per box, (after 2) thanks to the great digital migration. Not sure if I will dump it. I don't watch TV in the other rooms very often. But it sure is a nice thank you for suscribing over the years. I definitely won't be paying for additional boxes. They should comp them or at least offer them for sale at a reasonable price. I will move a current box if the need arises. Maybe I'll call customer service later, when I have a few hours to devote to falling down a rabbit hole.
The FCC mandated the digital transition not Comcast and it affects all cable providers. As you stated they are also giving you 2 free boxes for your formerly anolog sets. If you have digital tuners in your other tv's they still work. So either upgrade your tv's to the federally mandated digital platform or get additional boxes from Comcast. It would be the same anywhere you went I have Comcast here and am not sure if other providers give out the free equipment like Comcast does.
